Well, my name is Melaura (and yes, that is not my real name, or is it?). For those of you who are fortunate enough not to have known me, I am an average looking person, with an average IQ, of an average height with not so average friends (Alarra, I'm looking at you). It was Alarra who gave me the idea of a website, and who, rather ignorantly and stupidly, informed that she wanted to read some of the stories and poems that I wrote when I had nothing better to do with my time or when I could not get away with sleeping through the lectures (Sophie should know this, since she woke me up more than once during the tedious hours of economics).
Rather than letting Alarra decipher the untidy scrawl of a two year old, I thought that it would be better to place those age-old writings on a website, where she could write all the criticism she wanted without the embarrasment of telling it to my face and risk receiving a dose of plastic surgery (sound familiar Anh?) or getting strangled (something I'm sure my dear Alarra can relate to since it happened once not so long ago).
So here you go. Progress through this site at your own peril. I leave you with a warning that this may contain lots of boring stuff, but keep in mind that I didn't design this website with you in mind (since if you call my website boring than you're life isn't all that boring . . . why don't you go outside and watch the sun rise instead? I think it'll appreciate your interest).
On a more nicer note (well, April, Claire, and especially you Alarra, I can be nice when it suits my purpose) I thank those of you who have taken the time to view the site of a maniacal old crone who had nothing better to do with her time, and I would be honoured if you could take the time and sign my guestbookor email me at melaura_moonshine@hotmail.com with constructive deconstruction.

Everything is new about this website at this particular point in time -so new in fact that it is still undergoing a little bit of construction. It is like a one-month old baby, still trying to work out if that stranger over there making funny faces at it should be hugged or bitten. Anyways, I hope to be adding new and better things to this site, and hopefully my spelling and grammar will improve over time (even though all my teachers have dispaired of this ever happening).
05/06/02 - Well, exams are coming up, so I really don't think I'll be adding to this site much (Sorry!). I've just added two more short jokes to The Laugh Out Loud Page , 'The TRUE Sleeping Beauty Story' and 'The Nuts (Anh, you're included in this one :D) At The Baseball Game. Oh, and Anh? I promise I'll try to get the next part of 'My Teacher Is An Alien' up. And since it may be a long time before I return to this godforsaken site, I'd like to wish Ai Lieu Nguyen a HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY on 06/06/02 and Cam Tu Phan a HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY on 09/06/02. Best of luck to those who have impending exams - and as to those who don't 'talk to the hand' (which just happens to be Anh's favourite phrase).
01/06/02 - After some fodder sent by Alarra and Anh, a new page has been added to accomodate the vast amount of pictures from 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' and 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring'. 04/05/02 - After some constructive deconstruction by April the "New" section has been fixed. The chapters of The House of Silence have been divided into pages after Anh's suggestion. Hopefully I'll be able to add more chapters tomorrow. Thanks guys for all your suggestions.
